New year, same story.

Digitech Custom has again been chosen as the preferred audio/video integrator for the Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home – marking the third time in six years Digitech has enjoyed such an honor.

The 2012 version of the Dream Home, nestled in Carmel’s exclusive Laurel Ridge community, features a virtual all-star lineup of contributors. In addition to Digitech Custom, Campbell Custom Homes has been chosen as the builder, and Dianna Hoskins will handle the interior design. Wiring on the newly-constructed, traditional ranch-style estate began after the July 4 holiday.

Once the wiring phase is completed, Digitech will use its core group of field technicians to implement a whole-house, multi-zone A/V system, a full-scale security interface and some limited lighting. The home, scheduled to be completed in early September, measures 13,000 square feet, sits on just under two acres in West Carmel and has an asking price in the $3.5 million range.

Digitech Custom, long known as the source in greater Indianapolis for high-end lines, will install the following products in the 2012 version of the Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home:

  • Control4 complete home integration system
  • Sony LED HD televisions and video products
  • Integra units (Blu-Ray players, surround receivers, disc carousels)
  • Bowers & Wilkins speakers
  • DSC security products
  • APC power conditioners and backups

Digitech will then put the proverbial ribbon on the package by tying everything together with Control4, ensuring simple and ergonomic command over virtually every A/V function in the Dream Home. An Apple iPad running MyHome Control4 software will also be used to control the home theater.

Sweetening the deal for the showing of the home, also scheduled for September, Digitech’s professionals will integrate into the abode’s brain matter a potent iTunes / Sonos setup. That combination will seamlessly implement independent music zones throughout the house, paving the way for thousands upon thousands of songs to be heard anywhere, anytime at the push of a button.

“For us to again have the opportunity to equip the Indianapolis Monthly Dream Home is quite an honor,” said Digitech Custom president Mark Vyain. “To pair Digitech with one of the finest builders in the state, on what will surely be one of the finest homes in the state, is a great opportunity for both our companies.”
